Dear Friends,
Another month has almost passed, and summer will soon be over. It has passed by more quickly than anticipated. We are happy to have had a good summer at the church. We had much better attendance this year. It has been good to see your faces and to get to know our new attenders and the older attenders and members too. Thank you to those who have let Joe and I into your spiritual lives. We know it is a gift and an honor, and we aim to treat it as both.
With the end of the month comes reports. Because of vacation time and such we will not have the Stewardship Report out to you until next week. We are still spending more money than we are taking in, and if you can give, please do, and if you can increase your giving, please do.
Attached you will find the Ministry and Care Report, the Peace and Social Concerns Report, and a monthly report from each of your pastors. Reading these reports will help you know what is going on at the church. This is a very active church!
Please look at the Peace and Social Concerns Report at least. That you raised $850 for the water crisis in The Occupied Palestinian Territories is awesome!!! Thank you to all who gave so generously. We will also be feeding people that live in tribal transitional housing this coming September14 and need people to volunteer to prepare and bring food to the church on that day. There is a signup sheet on the entry table.
Thank you to those who helped to clean the church in August (Bernie, Wendy, Sue, Jeff and Leigh), and note that there is a signup sheet on the entry way for the coming church cleaning September 19 at 9:00 AM. It takes less than an hour, and it is fun. Not to mention you all do a fabulous job making everything sparkle.
Please take the time to read the reports and to look at the bulletin. We hope you find the bulletin interesting and will come this Sunday either in person or through zoom to worship with us. This week the queries have to do with what helps us and hinders us in living a life of presence.
Thank you to those who came to the picnic at Moore Park. That was such a fun Sunday, and we really appreciate everyone that came and had fellowship with us.
Sincerely,
Leigh
