Dear Friends,

It is hard to believe that July has passed by already. I hope you are all enjoying your summer and have found some deep personal revelations that you can apply to your spiritual journeys.  Life is full of these “ah-ha” moments that help us grow.  Spirit is always at work and can be seen in even the smallest leaf or brief smile on a face.  Whatever is good, true, honorable, or noble, think on these things, and we will see Spirit at work in the world all around us.

There is a great need for heartfelt action in our world.  Fifty-nine people’s names were read at the candlelight vigil last week as they had all died in ICE custody or during an ICE arrest.  Your pastors read the names to a group of concerned people from the town.  Eight-four families were fed through the food pantry on Tuesday, so about 200-250 people were fed.  We need volunteers at the Klamath Interfaith Food Pantry!  If you are interested, please contact Alicia Pinkerton. There are jobs for all ages.  Also, we are in desperate need of toiletries, so we are collecting bar soap, deodorant, and toothpaste plus laundry detergent and dish soap.  Please bring them to the meeting house on Sunday and place them on the long table in the entryway under the coat rack.  There is so much to do and so many ways you can be of service in Klamath Falls!  Your help is needed and appreciated.

Because it is the last Friday of the month, I am attaching reports from all of the committees and from your pastors.  Please take the time to read them.  Much has been going on. 

In addition, there are two attachments that we are going to be talking about in the called business meeting this Sunday.  We are updating the laminated sheet in the pews that talks about what waiting worship means.  There is a draft from the Ministry and Care committee attached.  Also, the Peace and Social Concerns committee is putting up a new banner on the side of the building.  Please look at the draft, and let us know on Sunday if there are any changes you see that are important to make.

We look forward to a quiet Sunday of Open Worship this Sunday.  Please come and sit with us in silence as we wait for the movement of Spirit.  Doug Fay will be playing harp.
