Dear Friends,

The month of May has sped by.  I can’t believe it is already the end of the month. I don’t know if you know but we have a comprehensive website.  It would be worth just going to it and looking for things you might enjoy.  There are pictures of different events, bulletins, sermons and a calendar. I’m not sure the June calendar has been updated.  I will paste what I have at the end for a June calendar.  But the website address is https://www.klamathfallsfriendschurch.org.

Tomorrow is a Candlelight Vigil at 6 here at the meeting house.  It will be silent, so there is no church language involved.  Just whatever you want to meditate on.  We hope most people will meditate on peace and a stop to wars.  But whatever you feel led to hold in the light, you will have a candle and people around you holding their lights as well. We will have 15 minutes of silence followed by 15 minutes of singing resistance songs led by Griffin Toffler.  The focus of this 30 minutes is to regenerate people — refill their cups.

On Sunday we have a business meeting after Meeting for Worship, so the Meeting for Worship will be cut short.  We will end at 10:45 so that we can begin the business meeting on time.  There are a few things to look at and find agreement on during the business meeting such as a new laminated sheet for the pews that is more inclusive and the banner to go on the side of the building.  I know that everyone will also be given a copy of our job descriptions and work contracts.  (Thank you for extending us for another two years.  It means a lot to us!)

Knowing we have two more years with you is a reward within itself.  I appreciate the two year contract because it gives us as a family time to relax and just enjoy pastoring here.  Thanks to all of you that made it possible.  We also appreciate the input on the evaluations.  We hear you!  All of your suggestions will be taken under advisement so that we can implement them.

I hope you are doing well.  Prayers for those who are sick and in need of support.  Let me know how I can be there for you.

Just a final note that we have moved the date for PRIDE from graduation weekend to June 27. Mark your calendars.  We will be having it at Klamath Lutheran Church.
