Dear Friends,

Ever have one of those mornings when you leave something behind?  This morning I had a medical appointment, so in the rush out the door, I left my lunch. The tech at the appointment was saying how much she disliked the clouds outside.   I remembered my lunch as soon as I got in the car after the appointment and decided to go back to our house before going to work.  On 97 going north, those clouds produced the most beautiful rainbow that was as wide as the highway. It was bright and clear. It was awesome!  Sometimes, it is just the way you look at things.  Your rainbow might be just beyond your dark cloud.

Sunday is our Meeting for Worship with Attention to Business following the worship service.  I have attached an agenda as well as the reports.  Please take a moment to look at and read these.  I’ll keep this brief hoping you have the opportunity to read the attachments.  The announcements are at the bottom of the page.  October is going to be a very busy month. The bats at the Lutheran Church have been cleared out and cleaned after.  But in doing so we had to throw away all of the boxes and paper bags.  We are going to have pantry this Tuesday.  PLEASE BRING BOXES AND PAPER BAGS TO CHURCH WITH YOU ON SUNDAY OR LEAVE MONDAY OR TUESDAY AT THE DOOR OF THE KLAMATH LUTHERAN CHURCH.

Saturday note: Since I obviously did hit send or something right yesterday, I am adding a beautiful poem that was created and read by one of our newest attendees, Jeff Young with my apologies.

A Little light 

Kindness needs no voice,
no praise, no grand display.
It is the hand we offer
along another’s way.

The Light we carry within
can shine through what we do.
A little kindness given
may light another too.

And when we share that Light,
we never lose our own.
For kindness finds its way
back to the heart it’s shown.

So let us walk with kindness,
wherever we may go.
And let the Light within us
be the Light that others know.
